Appointed has posted some solid efforts at York and is on a handy mark at present, so at 16/1 with bookmakers paying five places makes plenty of each-way appeal in the finale there today (5.00).
This Tim Easterby trained five-year-old mare has won once and been placed three times in eight starts on the Knavesmire.
She got back to winning ways at Ripon in May when scoring by 3 3/4 lengths off a mark of 73 and ran well here three starts back in a class 3 when a four length third of eight to Ladies First off 77.
Appointed also ran well last time out when fourth over 1m 2f at Ripon and having been dropped 2lb since is now able to race in this class 4 affair off 75.
That gives her every chance from a handicapping perspective on the pick of her form having won here off 88 in July 2017 and posted some solid efforst to be placed last year off marks in the mid 80s.
The step back up to 1m 4f will also hold no fears and Danny Redmond takes off a handy 5lb with his claim.
Daily Sport recommended bet: 2pts each-way Appointed (16/1 Betfair, Paddy Power, William Hill – BOG, paying 5 places)
