200/1 outsider DUTCH Aubergine farmer Dirk Van Duijvenbode has reached the final of the BoyleSports World Grand Prix following his outstanding victory over multiple major finalist Simon Whitlock on Sunday last night [Sunday] in Coventry.
28yo Van Duijvenbode scored ten 180s in his match against the Wizard and has seen his odds for tonight’s FINAL crumble into 3/1 from 7/1 with STAR SPORTS to win the BoyleSports World Grand Prix a far cry from the 200/1 odds in some bookies at the start of the tournament.
His convincing 4-1 win over Whitlock sees him face Gerwyn Price in the final following his 4-3 win over Dave Chisnall in the Ricoh Arena on Sunday night.
The Iceman has won three of his last four tournaments and denied two-time runner-up Dave Chisnall a spot in the final after he missed four darts for the match so it’s no surprise to see the Welshman tumble into the 2/9 favourite from 10/11 to win.
It’s 2/9 from 5/1 for Price to win to be victorious.
Van Duijvenbode is the first Dutchman outside of Michael Van Gerwen or Raymond Van Barneveld to reach a major PDC ranking final since Vincent Van der Voort at the 2007 UK Open and is a great PUNT at 3’s to scoop the 100 GRAND prize money.
THE BET says – Van Duijvenbode is our best bet for the money tonight at 3/1 to take the trophy in Coventry.
