The Greyhound Derby final is the highlight of a STACKED 12 race card at Nottingham this evening [Saturday], but here are my tips for all 11 other excellent races on the card which promise to be just as exciting as the main course.

My sensational run of form continues with 68 of our last 90 selections doing the business. In our last column, we fired in seven winners from 12 winning tips at odds of 4/5, 5/4, 6/4, 2/1, 11/4, 3/1 and 7/2. We’re hungry for more success this time around and are looking to be quick out of the traps with a number of fancies at the meeting. We’ve also picked out our two best bets of the evening which are our most confident selections, these are called the NAP and Next Best.

6:26: Nottingham: Tenpin (Trap Two)

A classy sort who was ruled out of an event at the track last week. Tenpin won the Young Guns final at Central Park recently and warmed up for this assignment with an electric nine and three-quarter length win in a trial at the track in a devastating time. He is a confident selection and will take all the beating.

6:41: Nottingham: Shrewd Call (Trap Three)

One of the most exciting dogs in training. He has been simply sensational this season and has lost just once since July 5. Winner of the Silver Salver trophy and the Greene King sprint, he is the one to beat.

6:59: Nottingham: Antigua Bruiser (Trap Five)

The final of the Puppy Trophy. Antigua Bruiser represents Mark Wallis and gets the nod given his current form. He was an impressive winner when showing good early pace from this draw last week and a reproduction of that effort makes him the one to beat.

7:16: Nottingham: Aayamza Lexie (Trap One)

A trappy event in which Mark Wallis’ bitch is a tentative selection. She won the Gold Collar Consolation Trophy earlier this month and posted a nice trial time at Nottingham earlier this week. She should be suited by the red jacket and if pinging the boxes, she is the one to beat.

7:34: Nottingham: Boca Junior (Trap One)

The final of the Westmead Legacy In Memory of Natalie Savva Trophy. Boca Junior represents Kevin Hutton and was a facile winner of a heat for this event last week. The son of Taylors Sky broke smartly on that occasion and posted a good time in the process. With that in mind, he looks like the one to beat.

7:51: Nottingham: Avastorm (Trap Three)

Failed to fire at the track last week, but is better than she showed on that occasion and she deserves another chance for Mark Wallis given she had previously finished second in the Kent St Leger Consolation Trophy.

8:06: Nottingham: Bramble Reggie (Trap Three)

Shaped well when fourth in a heat of the Greyhound Derby earlier this month. Given a break since, this son of Zero Ten is of interest.

8:21: Nottingham: Roxholme Kristof (Trap Five)

The final of the RPGTV Stayers Trophy. Roxholme Kristof was quite simply sensational when scoring by over 12 lengths last week. The son of Ballymac Eske always led on that occasion and lengthened clear in stunning fashion. He is clearly the one to beat from this draw and is one of the most exciting dogs in training.

8:36: Nottingham: Knocknaboul Syd (Trap Two)

Was favourite for a Greyhound Derby semi-final last week, but lost all chance after being baulked at the second bend. He remains an exciting prospect for Pat Buckley and this draw in trap two should suit.

8:52: Nottingham: Doolin Duke (Trap Five)

Doolin Duke produced a smart display to score by over five lengths last week. That win came in a quick time and the draw in trap five should not prove an inconvenience. With that in mind he makes plenty of appeal to land the final of the RPGTV Derby Plate.

9:11: Nottingham: Southwood Jet (Trap One)

The final of the Greyhound Derby. Southwood Jet is a confident selection having gone through the competition unbeaten thus far and recording another stylish success in his semi-final last week. He broke smartly from the boxes once again on that occasion and crucially he has a perfect draw in trap one. Deerjet Sydney and Wolfe are clear dangers, particularly the latter who recorded a smart success in his semi-final last week. However, Southwood Jet has everything in his favour and etch his name into Derby folklore.

9:26: Nottingham: Micks Little Gem (Trap Six)

Fifth in the Kent St Leger Final, this talented bitch started as the 10/11 favourite on that occasion but could not make any inroads having met plenty of trouble in running. She is clearly better than she showed on that occasion and can regain the winning thread in the finale.

NAP: 6:26: Nottingham: Tenpin (Trap Two)

Next Best: 6:41: Nottingham: Shrewd Call (Trap Three)
