There is plenty of cracking greyhound racing under the lights at Romford on Friday evening with a STACKED 12 race card. Every contest on Friday is an Open Race which is the highest level of action. We enjoyed 50% strike rate with six winners from 12 selections last week at odds of 4/9, 4/6, 4/5, Evs, 6/4, 2/1 and 4/1. We’re hungry for more success this time around and are looking to be quick out of the traps with a number of fancies at the meeting. We’ve also picked out our two best bets of the evening which are our most confident selections, these are called the NAP and Next Best.

6:09: Romford: Savana Jessica (Trap Four)
Did this column a big favour when winning easily last week. That victory came by four lengths in a spectacular time. She breaks brilliantly and is one of the best bets of the evening.
6:28: Romford: Knockduff Glory (Trap Six)
An interesting event in which Knockduff Glory gets the vote. He has posted some smart trial times since his move over to Ireland and whilst he would prefer a middle draw, he was electric from the stalls last time out and makes plenty of appeal.
6:43: Romford: Over The Bonnet (Trap Two)
Shape well over a shorter trip when second at the track last time out. He looked to have every chance on that occasion, but this step up in grade might just suit and he earns the verdict for this assignment.
6:58: Romford: Deanridge Sirius (Trap Two)
This is a different test for Deanridge Sirius but he looks up to it. Fourth in a heat for the Derby Plate, he shaped well at Central Park last time out. He has never run at Romford before, but he could provide a real class- edge to this event.
7:18: Romford: Kooga Keira (Trap Four)
Has her first run for Romford trainer Nathan Hunt. She has plenty of decent form in her back catalogue, but has just lost her way recently. However, if she can replicate her old form and break sharply from the boxes she is the one to beat.
7:36: Romford: Tiffield Blueboy (Trap One)
A smart type who has been unlucky on his last couple of starts, meeting trouble in running on both occasions. However, this son of Ballymac Vic is ultra-consistent and deserves another chance here.
7:56: Romford: Goldies Hoddle (Trap Three)
A proper talent. This son of Droopys Sydney has won his last three starts and has impressive on all three occasions. He kept on strongly to score last week and his most potent asset is his ability to break sharply from the boxes. With that in mind, he is the one to beat.
8:17: Romford: Jet Stream Mags (Trap Two)
Things have failed to go right on his last couple of starts. Third on both of those occasions, the daughter of Droopys Jet has just been meeting trouble in running at crucial stages. With that in mind, she deserves another chance given she continues to show electric pace from the boxes.
8:38: Romford: Bockos Jon Jo (Trap One)
Bolted up six lengths last time out showing a devasting turn of foot to record a scintillating success in a decent time. That makes him of serious interest here despite breaking from the inside draw. A reproduction of that effort makes him the standard setter here.
8:54: Romford: Roxhome Sven (Trap Two)
An interesting event. Roxholme Sven had Sober Express behind him last time and there is not too much to separate that duo. However, the son of Good News just looks to show more early pace from the boxes and that could prove crucial in this event.
9:12: Romford: Droopys Addition (Trap Two)
The opening heat of the Coral Essex Vase Trial Stakes. Droopys Addition was soundly beaten by Vigorous Kevin last week when failing to justify short odds. However, the son of Droopys Jet met all kinds of trouble on that occasion and is worth another chance here. He clearly is the class dog in the field and can make that tell with a win.
9:28: Romford: Droopys Aoife (Trap One)
A really likeable dog. He has won three of his last four starts and did everything right when scoring at the track last week. He is a gutsy dog who never knows when he is beat and with that in mind, he can continue the winning run in the finale.
NAP: 6:09: Romford: Savana Jessica (Trap Four)
Next Best: 6:28: Romford: Knockduff Glory (Trap Six)
