Top Dogs at Shelbounre Park

Bombay Pat – Shelbourne 7.48

Newinn Bachelor – Monmore 8.31

Cunnigar Yousir – Monmore 8.47

THE stars of the track are currently on show at Shelbourne Park, Dublin, and the second round of the BoyleSports Irish Greyhound Derby is completed tonight (Saturday).

Bockos Diamond is the reigning Irish Derby champion and won well last night to secure his place in the third round – and the same Graham Holland kennel will have high hopes of their Bombay Pat (7.48) in heat nine.

He made the English Greyhound Derby Final at Towcester earlier this year – and ran a cracker – and this class act is hard to oppose tonight.

English entry Proper Heiress (8.32) also impressed last week on his first Shelbourne contest and will come forward enough to win heat 12.

Back in the UK and Nathan Hunt’s pair of Cunnigar Yousir (8.47) and Bang On Edith (7.22) catch the eye. Both have strong leadability claims, while Kim Billingham-Hine’s Newinn Bachelor (8.31) has the all-round speed to shine in a sprint contest.

The purists will have their eye on Patrick Janssens’ pair of new Nottingham track record holder Romeo Ability (4.04) and Arc Puppy Classic winner Romeo Alliance (4.24) in their heats of the Produce Stakes, the British-bred showpiece, at Swindon this afternoon.

Money-buyers only for this pair!
