Koditime shaped better than the bare result last time out, so having been eased further in the weights looks worth siding with at 8/1 in the 5f Dash Handicap at Epsom today (3.05).
This Clive Cox trained four-year-old was a useful juvenile and landed a 15-runner handicap at York first time up loast season when scoring by 3/4 of a length off a mark of 91.
He backed that up with a solid head second at Windsor off 95, after which he got put up to 100.
Koditime then struggled in four subsequent outings, but shaped with plenty of promise on seasonal reappearanbce at York when a keeping on two lengths fifth of 10 to Duke Of Firenze off 94 and now meets the winner on 13lb better terms.
Koditime then failed to get competitive when a seven length 15th of 19 to Tis Marvellous in a heritage handicap at Ascot, but ran much better when a 4 1/4 length seventh off 14 to the thriving Only Spoofing at Ascot two starts back.
He also travlled well for much of the race last time out when a 4 1/2 length eight of 13 to Greempower at Goodwood where I thought he was given a far from convincing ride by Hector Crouuch.
Koditime has since been dropped a further 4lb to 87 and that makes him a big player from a handicapping perspective now partnered by Shane Kelly for the first time.
THE BET recommended bet: 2pts win Koditime (8/1 bet365, BetVictor, Unibet – BOG)
